Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)
Note: a species which is perhaps related to L. cyrtella, with hyaline, ellipsoid to ovoid, mostly simple (some 1-septate intermixed) ascospores (8-12 μm long), other characters not mentioned in the protologue; on bark of deciduous trees; only known from the type locality in the Western Alps (Switzerland).
