Substrate: bark, lignum

Altitudinal distribution: subalpine belt (potential vegetation: open, taiga-like forests dominated by Larix decidua and/or Pinus cembra and Rhododendron)

Note: on eutrophicated wood, more rarely on bark, on basal parts of isolated trees; a poorly understood taxon, which needs further study.
