Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)
Note: a species of the L. albella-group with a whitish thallus bearing confluent soralia, apothecia very rare, as in L. albella; on bark of Pinus mugo in bogs; in the study area so far known from a few localities in the Eastern Alps.
