Substrate: calciferous rocks, intermediate rocks (such as calciferous schists)
Altitudinal range: from the submediterranean/colline belt (potential vegetation: mixed deciduous forests dominated by Quercus and Carpinus) to the subalpine belt (potential vegetation: open, taiga-like forests dominated by Larix decidua and/or Pinus cembra and Rhododendron)
Note: a species whose generic placement is provisional, with an indistinct thallus and minute, blackish, Lecanora-like apothecia with thalline margins, polysporous asci (16-32) and c. 5 µm long ascospores; on surfaces of calcareous or basic siliceous rocks subject to short periods of water seepage; overall distribution poorly known, with a few scattered records from the Alps.
