Altitudinal distribution: submediterranean/colline belt (potential vegetation: mixed deciduous forests dominated by Quercus and Carpinus)

Note: a Mediterranean-Atlantic lichen found on siliceous rocks in rather sheltered situations, with a single record from the base of the Western Alps.
