Lichenised. Poorly known taxon.
Substrate: calciferous rocks, intermediate rocks (such as calciferous schists)
Altitudinal range: from the subalpine belt (potential vegetation: open, taiga-like forests dominated by Larix decidua and/or Pinus cembra and Rhododendron) to the nival belt (above the lower limit of perennial snow and glaciers)
Note: a species recalling A. candida, but marginal lobes less distinct and apothecia with black, non-pruinose discs; the distribution in the Alps is still insufficiently known.
