Altitudinal distribution: subalpine belt (potential vegetation: open, taiga-like forests dominated by Larix decidua and/or Pinus cembra and Rhododendron)
Note: only known from the type collection on Pinus cembra, this probably non-lichenised species with 6-spored asci and 3-septate ascospores with unequal cells measuring 9-10 × 2-3 µm, is worthy of further study.
