Altitudinal distribution: submediterranean/colline belt (potential vegetation: mixed deciduous forests dominated by Quercus and Carpinus)

Note: on inclined surfaces of ultrabasic siliceous rocks (e.g. serpentine and basalt), often in fissures, in shaded situations also on vertical faces; in the study area only reported from a few localities at the base of the Western Alps.
