Altitudinal distribution: submediterranean/colline belt (potential vegetation: mixed deciduous forests dominated by Quercus and Carpinus)
Note: a species of the Th. incavatum-group with smaller ascospores (less than 25 µm long); on limestone, only recorded from the Eastern Alps (Austria).
