Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)
Note: a calcicolous species with a minutely granulose, whitish-greyish thallus, immersed perithecia (to 0.6 mm in diam.), and simple to 1-septate, broadly ellipsoid ascospores; only known from the Eastern Alps (Slovenia).
