Substrate: living mosses, lignum

Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)

Note: on moribund Sphagnum in raised bogs, usually in the uppermost part of the cushions, in sunny places; locally abundant in late summer and autumn, especially after dry summers, and probably somehow overlooked due to its ephemeral character.
