Substrate: calciferous rocks
Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)
Note: a species with a chalky white thallus, amphora-shaped (to 0.5 mm wide), entirely immersed ascomata (only the ostiolar region visible), 8-spored asci, and ellipsoid, simple ascospores (c. 20 × 8-10 μm); on dolomite, only known with certainty from the type locality in the Eastern Alps (Switzerland).
