Substrate: calciferous rocks
Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)
Note: a species with a whitish endolithic thallus, globose perithecia immersed in pits, and narrowly ovoid, muriform ascospores with 4-7 transversal septa and 3-5 longitudinal septa; on calcareous rocks in Central Europe; so far only known from the Eastern Alps (Slovenia).
Slovenia: Alpine and Pre-Alpine Slovenia;
