Gyalecta jenensis (Batsch) Zahlbr. var. macrospora Vězda
Lichenised. Poorly known taxon.
Substrate: calciferous rocks
Altitudinal distribution: alpine belt (potential vegetation: treeless Alpine grasslands and tundras, to the lower limit of perennial snow and the equilibrium line of glaciers)
Note: this variety, characterised by ascospores longer than 30 µm (shorter than 25 µm in the typical one), is based on a type from maritime Western Europe, on siliceous rocks; the identity of records from calcareous rocks in the alpine belt of the Austrian Alps needs confirmation.
