Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)
Note: a species with a thin leprose thallus, sessile apothecia with biatorine margins, a hyaline hypothecium and 12-16-spored asci; on bark of coniferous trees in montane forests; in the study area so far known only from the Western Alps (France).
