Altitudinal distribution: mesomediterranean belt (potential vegetation: evergreen broad-leaved forests dominated by Quercus ilex)
Note: a calcicolous species characterised by a greenish grey, areolate thallus, perithecia with a dimidiate involucrellum, and ellipsoid to oblong-ellipsoid ascospores measuring c. 6 × 15-17 µm; only known from the type collection near Spotorno (Italy).
