Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)

Note: the external appearance is like var. spadicea, but the hymenium in section is colourless to slightly yellowish and not reacting with K; the ecology as well resembles that of var. spadicea; the taxonomic value of this variety is in need of evaluation.
