Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)
Note: a species with a very thin, inconspicuous thallus, living together with (containing?) Trentepohlia algae, with very small, orange apothecia, and ellipsoid, 1-septate, hyaline ascospores (5-6 × 2 μm), perhaps a species of Coenogonium (Dimerella); on bark (e.g. Fagus); only recorded from the Southern Alps (Italy).
