Substrate: bark
Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)
Note: a species with bluish-black apothecia and 2-4-septate, narrowly ellipsoid ascospores which are only c. 10 µm long; on the whole a poorly known taxon, perhaps a Micarea.
