Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)
Note: a species with a whitish-grey thallus, innate apothecia with greenish-brown epihymenium, and 1-septate, brown ascospores; the generic placement is in need of re-evaluation; on outcrops of calcareous sandstone; only recorded from the Western Alps (France).
