Substrate: siliceous rocks
Altitudinal distribution: submediterranean/colline belt (potential vegetation: mixed deciduous forests dominated by Quercus and Carpinus)
Note: a taxon of the C. conversa-aggregate, with thallus and apothecia reacting C+ red (gyrophoric acid); on pebbles and small boulders of hard siliceous rocks at low elevations; in the study area so far only known from the Western Alps.
