Altitudinal distribution:
Note: a species with an epilithic, rimose to areolate, whitish thallus, semi-immersed perithecia in the centre of areoles, with an involucrellum spreading in the upper third, and 1-septate, oblong to ellipsoid ascospores (to c. 30 µm long); on siliceous rocks, only known from the type locality in the Eastern Alps (Germany).
