Lepra melanochlora (DC.) Hafellner

Syn.: Isidium melanochlorum DC., Pertusaria melanochlora (DC.) Nyl.
Lichenised. Poorly known taxon.
Substrate: siliceous rocks
Altitudinal range: from the mesomediterranean belt (potential vegetation: evergreen broad-leaved forests dominated by Quercus ilex) to the submediterranean/colline belt (potential vegetation: mixed deciduous forests dominated by Quercus and Carpinus)
Note: a probably Mediterranean-Atlantic, often misunderstood taxon (e.g. confused with L. mammosa), found on compact siliceous rocks; the record from Switzerland has neither locality nor collector, and the presence of the species there is more than dubious. In the study area the species is known with certainty only from the French Southern Pre-Alps (Haute-Vésubie).
