Lecidea lyngei Degel.

Syn.: Lecidea arnoldii Lynge non (Kremp.) Nyl.
Lichenised. Poorly known taxon.
Substrate: siliceous rocks
Altitudinal distribution: alpine belt (potential vegetation: treeless Alpine grasslands and tundras, to the lower limit of perennial snow and the equilibrium line of glaciers)
Note: a silicicolous species described (as Lecidea arnoldii Lynge) from Novaya Zemlya, perhaps belonging to Miriquidica, differing from M. garovaglii in the cortex reacting K+ red. Lynge argued in the protologue that “Psora aenea f. corrugata Arnold” might be a heterotypic synonym, which is the reason why the species turns up in a lichen checklist of the Alps.
