Non- or doubtfully lichenised. Poorly known taxon.
Substrate: bark
Altitudinal distribution: subalpine belt (potential vegetation: open, taiga-like forests dominated by Larix decidua and/or Pinus cembra and Rhododendron)
Note: a most likely non-lichenised species characterised by a whitish, thin thallus, 8-spored asci, and 4-celled ascospores measuring 25-29 × 6-7 µm, whose type material, collected on Pinus cembra, well deserves further study.
