Altitudinal distribution: submediterranean/colline belt (potential vegetation: mixed deciduous forests dominated by Quercus and Carpinus)
Note: a probably non-lichenised species with a thin, episubstratic, dark thallus delimited by a black prothallus, numerous, isolated to confluent, semi-immersed perithecia surrounded at the base by a black ring, 8-spored, clavate asci, and linear-elliptical, subclavate, 5-7-septate (constricted at the septa), hyaline ascospores which are 3-4 times as long as wide; only known from the type collection on Fraxinus ornus near Bassano del Grappa.
