Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)
Note: a species with a monophyllus, plane, totally adnate, olivaceous thallus, relatively small ascospores (less than 40 µm long), and globose to elongate hymenial algal cells; on clay to sandy soil; based on a type from Spain and with a southern distribution in Europe and a single record from an inner dry valley of the Western Alps.
