Thelenidia monosporella Nyl.

Lichenised.
Substrate: calciferous soil, calciferous rocks
Altitudinal distribution: alpine belt (potential vegetation: treeless Alpine grasslands and tundras, to the lower limit of perennial snow and the equilibrium line of glaciers)
Note: a species resembling Thelenella modesta but smaller, with a very unusual set of characters: delicate interascal filaments, oblong hymenial algae, and 1-spored asci with large, simple ascospores; on calcareous soil, ecology otherwise poorly known; apparently rare, but easy to overlook; the type is from Switzerland (Canton Zürich), near the northern edge of the Alps.
France: Savoie;
