Altitudinal distribution: montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)
Note: the ascospores which are 2-septate when fully developed are diagnostic, recalling somewhat A. radiata, but with a coccoid photobiont; on smooth bark under suboceanic conditions; distribution insufficiently known.
