Note: a calcicolous species with a mainly endolithic, whitish thallus which is partly emerging as a thin continuous crust with black prothallus lines, entirely immersed perithecia (to 0.7 mm in diam.) without involucrellum, and ellipsoid ascospores (to 30 µm long); only known from the type locality in the Eastern Alps (Germany).
