Lichenised. Poorly known taxon.
Substrate:
Altitudinal range: from the mesomediterranean belt (potential vegetation: evergreen broad-leaved forests dominated by Quercus ilex) to the montane belt (potential vegetation: deciduous forests dominated by Fagus sylvatica and closed coniferous forests with Picea abies)
Note: a mainly Mediterranean lichen found on steeply inclined, sunny faces of siliceous rocks at relatively low elevations, differing from L. radiosa in the parasitic habit and in the presence of stictic acid; apparently more frequent in the Southern and Western Alps.
