Synonyms: Physcia controversa var. stenophylla Massal. (Lich. ital. exs. n. 36, corticola); Anzi (Lich. rar. Long. exs. n. 255)
Localirty of collection: Supra muscos circa Lavarda Septem Communium.
Notes: Nylander, ammettendo questa specie (Lich. scand. p. 107), preferisce il nome lychnea. Ma la Parmelia candelaris var. lychnea di Acharius non ne è punto la varietà tipica, e se si dovesse per la specie scegliere il più antico nome imposto a taluna delle sue varietà, bisognerebbe conservarle quello fulva (Hoffm.).
