Scientific literature shows that morphometric measurements of a species can be very variable in  different biogeographic regions of the world where the species is present. This observation is more evident as the sites are distant from one another and when pertains to oceans or closed seas (eg. basins). Therefore, biometrics measures have to be considered as descriptive characters rather than diacritical ones.
