Bryonora corallina Poelt

Lichenised. Poorly known taxon.
Substrate: living mosses
Altitudinal distribution: alpine belt (potential vegetation: treeless Alpine grasslands and tundras, to the lower limit of perennial snow and the equilibrium line of glaciers)
Note: thallus consisting of minute, densely aggregated “podetia”; based on a sterile type (ascomata still unknown), hence taxonomic placement uncertain; on decaying tufts of mosses over siliceous rocks; known only from a single locality in the Austrian Alps.
Austria: Kärnten;
