Substrate: siliceous rocks
Altitudinal distribution: alpine belt (potential vegetation: treeless Alpine grasslands and tundras, to the lower limit of perennial snow and the equilibrium line of glaciers)
Note: a species resembling L. paratropoides, but with a different chemistry (stictic acid syndrome); on siliceous rocks in the alpine belt; so far only known from the Eastern Alps (Austria).
