Dark-coloured perithecia
Apothecia:
bodies in which the spores are released from a surface exposed to the air. They have
different shapes, but are usually disc-shaped. There are two major types of apothecia:
Lecanorine apothecium:
the margin of the apothecium contains algae. Normally the disc and the
margin have very different colours. In the following, we give some examples.
