The digitization project

To enhance usability and accessibility of the Vatova-Schiffner algal herbarium, a project for the digitization and study of the samples and related materials has been carried out.
The digitalization was carried out between August 2022 and April 2023, as a joint effort between the Natural History Museum "Giancarlo Ligabue" of the Foundation of Civic Museums of Venice and the Department of Life Sciences of the Universiy of Trieste, in the framework of project Dryades.



The project was funded in the framework of the call “Digital heritage” of the Foundation of Venice.
